Haakon Riiser (CEO & CTO)

Haakon co-founded Netview in 2005. His role was initially CTO, and for a period he was also general manager. At Netview he lead development of a much used video API, with among other things support for a range of adaptive streaming formats. The solution is used by many millions (integrated in many of the largest TVs and set-top box manufacturers) and is today marketed by Opera/Vewd. Opera was one of Netview’s customers, as they integrated Netview’s streaming solution in its device browser, and purchased Netview in 2012. Haakon continued at Opera Software as team lead of core development fromf 2012 to 2017.

In 2017 Haakon went on to Auxios, where he leads an experienced development team, building on the Netview/Opera team. (Opera moved its development office out of Norway). Haakon has leading experience in developing low-level ICT systems, with recent years focus moving from video streaming to analytics and natural language models.

Haakon has a M.Sc in Physics and PhD in Computer Science, both from the University of Oslo.
